Dometic 230V Smart Start Series 1 NOS

Original series 1 Smart Start new old stock (NOS).  Used on AC units 12-30K BTU's.  208-240V 50-60hz. 

The difference between this series and the latest Series III is this one has no trouble-shooting lights.  This is not a sealed waterproof unit and should be installed inside a control box.  If installed outside the box, be sure it's hanging on a wall with the wires coming up from the bottom.  

Listed on the label of your unit are LRA amps.  That is the required amps to start your AC units.  If your generator or other power source is unable to produce that many LRA amps, then a Smart Start may be for you.  Smart Starts will drop the LRA amps by more than half.  Example.  If your unit needs 72 amps to start, then a SmartStart will drop it to under 36 amps.
